Work in Progress

Orca Book Publishers invited me to illustrate another book by children’s author, Eric Walters! I am excited about creating lino-cut art for The Wild Beast, a 32-page picture book due for release in the fall of 2018. That’s a long way from now but I will need time to execute some of the very detailed illustrations ahead. Shown below is one of the simpler ones. This is a rough sketch on tracing paper.

 

The After Party

A good time was had by all on Fathers Day at Indigo Yonge and Eglinton, Toronto. Lots of budding artists of all ages stopped by to try their hand at printmaking and stamping characters from An African Alphabet by Eric Walters, published by Orca Books. Thanks to Christie Williamson, Customer Experience Manager, IndigoKids, for inviting me back and for making the event a huge success!
